New: Print Support Materials Pages
This is a 'one stop shop' for all the print materials in the program, including lots of grouped documents for easy printing – for instance, you can print all the Tasksheets for a main category area all at once, or all the Handouts for a particular Topic Group or Topic Area.
New: Summaries for every topic – with Zoom
Every topic now starts with a short summary of the key points, and instructors can hit the zoom button to enlarge the summary on the screen, so that even the students at the back of the room can read it.
New: Topic Group Tests
Every Topic Group now has its own scored and recorded test – with randomized questions and distracters and feedback with every answer. That's about 180 brand new tests (depending on which menu you use)
Improved: Handout Activity Sheets
Every Handout Activity Sheet has been updated. Now your students don't have to go to the CDX Online program to find the missing words to fill in, all the information is already on the page – they still have to read it carefully but if they look they can find the answers right in front of them.
Improved: Reports module
The results and activity reporting module has been improved – with easier filtering and sorting, and saving to .csv format or PDF for easy printing.
New: CDX Messaging
CDX Messaging lets you send messages to individual students, to a selected list of students, or to all your students at once. As soon as they login to CDX Online they will see your message waiting, and they can send a message back to you if you want them to. You don't need to know their email addresses, and they don't need to know yours. They can't say “I didn't hear you say that”, or “I didn't get your email”, and they can't use this messaging system to talk to anyone but you or another instructor. Mentoring remote students, setting group assignments, giving remedial homework to absentee students – the possibilities are endless.
New: Upgrade/rollback feature
YOU decide when to upgrade your students and instructors to the new V5.0 – not CDX. If you want to wait till the end of term/semester/year, that's fine. All student results from the tests they took in the previous V4.1 will still be available to you and to them, whenever you upgrade, but YOU are in control. And if you want to return someone to complete some extra time with V4.1, that's OK too (but we think V5.0 is a whole lot better).
There are lots of other changes, some small, some large, but nearly all of them were asked for by YOU, our clever and creative and wonderfully loyal customers.
